So Much to Talk About...

A lot of very exciting things have been happening here in the planning of the Zine Fest, and everyone involved has been very busy making sure it turns out as well as it can.

First off, we're getting a great response from Chicagoans and out-of-towners interested in being involved in the event, including such awesome people as Lilli Carre, Jeffrey Brown, Anne Elizabeth Moore, and John Porcellino!  Not to mention the countless other awesome zinesters and artists signed on to exhibit, read, show their art, or help out.  Our exhibitor page is being updated regularly with people who have confirmed that they're attending, so hop on over there to see who's going to be around.

We are getting very close to the full capacity we have for exhibitors, so if you're interested and haven't yet filled out the exhibitor form, get on that ASAP!  We will be putting people that register after we've reached capacity on a waiting list, in case people drop off or room clears up.

Lastly, Sara Drake, our dear friend who also designed the poster and artwork for the Zine Fest, is organizing the Chicago Comics Symposium over at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.  That event, comprising of a series of panel discussions on issues related to comics, will be happening March 11th and 12th from 4:30 to 7 PM at the SAIC Ballroom at 112 S. Michigan Ave.  We're excited that this is going on right on the cusp of the Zine Fest, and we encourage all you out there to attend that event as well.  Go to http://chicagocomicssymposium.tumblr.com for more info.

That's all for now, friends.  Stay posted, tell your friends, sign up or email us to volunteer, and, most importantly, get excited.
