Public Statement regarding Joe Biel and Cantankerous Titles

It has come to our attention that several people planning to attend the Chicago Zine Fest would feel uncomfortable and unsafe in a space that supports Joe Biel and his distro, Cantankerous Titles. As per our safer space policy, we have informed Joe Biel that he and Cantankerous Titles may not attend or be a part of the Chicago Zine Fest, and have refunded his table fee. Our goal is not to curate the fest, but we believe it is our responsibility to foster a community in which everyone can feel comfortable and safe, and to be transparent about any actions we take regarding this. SOLD OUT!

We are amazed by the response we've received from zinesters excited to exhibit at the 2012 Chicago Zine Fest! In just 25 hours, our tables have sold out! We are working on finding extra table space. We are confident that we will be able to get more exhibitors into the fest, so we strongly encourage anyone who is interested in tabling at the fest to fill out our waiting list form!
